Artistic Calligraphy Experience with Master Kosei Nishimura
Learn the art of Japanese calligraphy from Kosei Nishimura, a distinguished director of the Japan Calligraphy Art Promotion Association.
Calligraphy is considered a “time-based art,” where every stroke reflects not only the ink’s tone, blurring, and texture, but also the profound emotions of the artist. Guided by this philosophy, Nishimura-sensei approaches each work as a form of contemporary art.
In a 100-year-old Kyoto townhouse, calm your mind and immerse yourself in the history of calligraphy, including ancient scripts such as Oracle Bone and Bronze Inscriptions. Enjoy creating your own artistic piece under expert guidance.
After the session, you will take home your work beautifully mounted on a foldable hanging scroll, perfect for display in your home.
