Inside the Towa Ryokan (Towaryokan) near Nishi Honganji Temple, there is a tea room called “Seika-an,” which was named by the sixteenth head of the Urasenke.

We have set up a gentle and fun tea party experience plan for a limited time because we want everyone to experience a gentle time in this quiet and cozy space.

The image of the tea ceremony is that the threshold is high, but even first-time users are fine! Please feel free to join us!

We will proceed carefully while listening to explanations, such as manners when entering the tea room, viewing the floor and flowers.

Please relax while taking pictures in your seat.

It's a busy area near Kyoto Station, but this place is quiet and gentle... that kind of time flows through.
