"Shoutengai" is one of Japanese old style shopping streets. In the past, there were so many stores as a market of local residents. Today, they are being replaced by large retailers such as supermarkets and drug stores, and are losing their role as the center of the community.

We want everyone in the world to know how great this place is. Here is not too much touristy, but it is located close to Chion-in Temple, the head temple of the Jodo Sect Buddhism established in 1175. There are also historical sites nearby, such as Heian Jingu Shrine, Yasaka Jinja Shrine, and Kodai-ji Temple, attracting many visitors throughout the year.
