-Jidai Matsuri-
Along with the Aoi Festival and Gion Festival, it is one of the three major festivals in Kyoto. At the head of the procession, which is about 2,000 people and stretches for about 2 kilometers, is the Imperial Restoration Corps.
It dates back from the Meiji Restoration to the Engeku period, and at the end, it was organized in 8 periods and 20 rows, from the Shinko Line to the Archery Line.
A grand post-era line spanning over a thousand years parades through Miyako-oji.
We have set up a special viewing seat where you can watch the Jidai Matsuri procession from a seat near the Kyoto Gyoen Kenryo Gate, which is the starting point of the procession.

Precautions
・If the Jidai Festival (10/22) is rainy, it will be postponed to the next day, the 23rd. If you don't see it on October 23, you won't be able to get a refund. However, if it rains on the postponed day, the full amount will be refunded. Please check the Kyoto City Tourism Association website etc. for the event by yourself.
・Seats in the bleachers will be announced at the reception desk on the day of the event.
・Seats cannot be reserved/requested (we will decide based on the order of application, not in the order in which they are received on the day).
・Even if you are a preschooler, if you need a seat, the child fee will apply.
・You cannot cross the garden path just before the line departs, so please enter at least 30 minutes before the first scheduled departure time.
・Smoking is prohibited inside the bleachers. Please do not use tripods or parasols. Please be aware that there are not enough toilet facilities.
・Please take care not to disturb other viewers when taking photos and videos.
・Flash photography is prohibited as there are hazards such as cows and horses running wild.
・For safety reasons, acts such as standing up or riding on a chair are prohibited.
・Please note that the organizer is not responsible for any damage caused within the bleachers. Please follow the staff's instructions to ensure everyone's safety while in the bleachers.
