“Okazaki-an,” a mansion located in Okazaki, Kyoto
Located in the quiet Okazaki district of Kyoto, the residence “Okazaki-an” is close to the lush greenery of Okazaki Park and Heian Shrine.
This mansion was once built by Kyoto's famous geisha Ueba Hide (Ueba Hide) for her husband Koji Shundo (Shundo Koji), who was a Toei producer, and his daughter.
The mansion, which was built in 1982, has a Noh stage made entirely of cypress, which was rare at the time. Furthermore, it also has luxurious facilities such as an elevator and a jacuzzi with sauna.
From the window, you can see the torii gate of Heian-jingu Shrine and Mount Daimonji, and weeping cherry blossoms called “couple cherry blossoms” bloom in the garden.

This “Okazaki-an” offers a special plan limited to 1 group for each hour to enjoy a maiko dance and enjoy beautiful Kyoto cuisine.
